For those who just want to get a basic understanding of the hardwood grading rules, NHLA provides a 3-day short course on Sep. 10-12th, 2019 at Kennebec Lumber Company in Solon, ME.
This intro to lumber grading gives yardmen, sawyers, edgermen, sales and office staff, and management level personnel an introduction to hardwood lumber grading. Class hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
